Description: A carved Pounamu Adze Shape linking with Toki aronui which were used for adzing waka. Inspired by Toki Poutangata, adzes that were used to cut large trees when carving waka. Koru are carved into the form to connect with the practice of spreading and scattering seeds from the trees to ensure taiao/nature is sustained.
